To prevent high installation costs we have compiled the following basic package deals  for gas installation Pricing .

Pricing For A Gas Geyser Installations will be more than the Guideline pricing below .

We Have Called Them : 

Option 1 :   Placement Of Gas Cylinder inside ( In Cupboard Installation, 9kg gas cylinder ) close to the Gas Hob or Free Standing Gas Stove.

Option 2 : Placement to connect a Single Gas Cylinder outside.  

 Option 3: Placement to connect Two Gas Cylinder's outside with a change over switch.

# The price below is for a single appliance connection..
** If there is more than one gas appliance to be connected the installation cost will be more .

For more than one gas appliance installation a quote will have to be quoted on accordingly. Example: a gas hob & a gas geyser

( Option 1 ) Gas Installation  " Inside " = Approximate R1950.00+ R250.00 For Mandatory Ventilation Of Cupboard  Total R2200.00===

Installation in a separate cupboard in the kitchen called a “In cupboard installation” .Maximum a 9Kg Gas Bottle is permitted  in the kitchen, the 9kg gas bottle must preferably have its own cupboard  with nothing else in that Cupboard . Approximate  Cost   R1950.00 + R250.00 (Mandatory Gas Regulation To Vent Cupboard Where Gas Cylinder Is Housed = R2200.00)  

  Gas Bottle/gas cylinder is not included in the price.  Additional charges will be included for distances exceeding the standard 5m. (@ R150.00 Per Meter )

We do a gas installation what we call a " In Cupboard Installation "  its approved by the Lpgas Association as a compliant gas installation.  We can issue a Gas Compliancy Certificate For This Type Of Gas Installation  Approximate R1950.00 + R250.00 ( Ventilation Of Cupboard = R2200.00)

WHAT DOES THE ABOVE PRICE INCLUDE:
ANSWER:
It Includes Gas Compliancy Certificate ( C.O.C ). Regulator ,Piping & Labour.

We Use Pex-al-Pex  as our preferred gas approved  SABS gas piping.

WHAT DOES THE ABOVE PRICE EXCLUDE:

ANSWER:
1. It does NOT INCLUDE the electrical Disconnection or Connection to the gas appliance . We do not do this it needs to be done by a Qualified Electrician.

 2.It does NOT INCLUDE the altering the cut out or carpentry work needed to where the gas hob or free standing gas stove.Its a specialized job. We will refer you to someone who specialises in this type of work. 

We Do not alter the counter top cut out if the new gas hob doesn't fit. Its a specialised job which we do not undertake.

3.This price Does not include the 9kg  gas cylinder. We do not supply gas cylinders.

4. It Does Not Include the Ventilation in cupboard door ( See Cost Of above Venting a Cupboard Door )

5. We do not do Chasing into concrete floors or digging of trenches this will have to be arranged to be done by the owner or contractor.

If It Is A Big Installation We Will Require A Deposit Before We Can Start The Installation.

(Option 2 ) " Outside "  Gas Installation connected to a single gas cylinder. 

A Single Pigtail + Regulator be used (Gas Cylinders Not included  in price ),

The estimated installation cost will be Approximate  R3050.00  for 5m distance. Additional charges will be included for distances exceeding the standard 5m. (@ R150.00 Per Meter )

Explained Another Way: Option Two:

"Outside single connection"  to a gas cylinder not including gas cylinder Approximate R3050 this price is up to a max of 5 meters gas pipe depending where we can place the gas cylinder safely.

 It will cost you R150 per meter for every meter we use over the five meters of gas piping. This is if we cannot place the gas cylinder safety within a five meter distance from the gas appliance to the gas cylinder.

It Includes Gas certificate. Regulator, Shutoff valve, Piping & Labour.

WHAT DOES THE ABOVE PRICE EXCLUDE:

# It does not include the electrical connection to the gas appliance & does not include the cut out to where the hob or gas stove fits into counter top.

# It does not include the concrete base for the cylinders to stand on .

# We do not do Chasing or digging of trenches this will have to be arranged to be done by the owner or contractor.

# This price does not include the 9kg or 19kg or 48kg  gas cylinder.

Gas Cylinders can be Purchased from your nearest Builders Ware House, Makro, or Afrox depo.

The first time you get a gas cylinder from the above suppliers you pay a once off deposit on the gas cylinder and the gas inside the cylinder. When you take the cylinder back for a refill you only pay for the gas not the deposit again.

This is the safest way of having a gas cylinder as the gas cylinder does not belong to you . You hire the gas cylinder .When the gas cylinder goes back to the gas refilling plant it get cleaned out serviced , refilled and checked for leaks and a proper shrink wrap seal with the oil company logo on it and a serial No for traceability .You Hire The Gas Cylinder .

(Option 3 ) " Outside "  Gas Installation connected to TWO  gas cylinders. 

Its Two  Pigtails  + A regulator & a manual change over switch ( Valve ) Between the two gas cylinders to change over from one cylinder to the other cylinder  (Gas Cylinders Not included  in price ),

the estimated installation cost will be   Approximately R4050.00  for 5m distance. Additional charges will be included for distances exceeding the standard 5m. (@ R150.00 Per Meter )

Explained Another Way: Option Three :

"Outside double connection"  to a gas cylinder not including gas cylinder Approximately  R4050.00 this price is up to a max of 5 meters gas pipe depending where I can place the gas cylinder safely. It will cost you R150 per meter for every meter I use over the five meters of gas piping. This is if we cannot place the gas cylinder safety within a five meter distance from the gas appliance to the gas cylinder.

What does the above quoted price include?
Answer:-

It is not a requirement on a domestic installation to install a Gas Cylinder Cage unless you are in a complex then it most probably will apply .

 # NEVER ACCEPT A GAS CYLINDER THAT HAS NO SHRINK WRAP AROUND THE GAS CYLINDER VALVE.

 # NEVER ACCEPT A GAS CYLINDER WITH A CLEAR SHRINK WRAP SEAL AROUND THE GAS CYLINDER VALVE . IT IS ILLEGAL, ITS BEEN ILLEGALY FILLED  AND IS VERY VERY DANGEROUS 

We Do not do any electrical connections.
